All About Shining Star Australia

At Shining Star Australia, We Draw our inspiration from the beautiful environment in which we live, the stunning nature all around us, the many amazing places to which we travel. One of our favorite aspects of the business is designing our products, and coming up with new ideas! For this reason, we are constantly modifying our product lines, keeping them creative and fresh for new and return customers alike.

Over the years we have created varying designs based on diverse concepts. Which include such designs as;

• Tribal Patterns - Both Dot painted and air-brushed.
• Australiana & Fauna - Hand painted dot painting.
• Special Symbols - Shared by many cultures.
• Eastern Zodiac
• Western Zodiac
• Exclusive Limited Edition Mosaic line - made with real 'Mother-of-Pearl' shell, both stunning and Elegant.
• Dolphin Sunset - An all time favorite with our customers.

The idea first came seven years ago, when we were attracted to the folding, paper stars that have been made in India since ancient times.  The effect was beautiful, however we were greatly dissapointed by the low quality of the product - they were made from weak material and often broke or tore after a short time.  Still, Loving the concept, we decided to make the stars for ourselves, using stronger safer material.  We experimented and trialled with different cardboards until we found the perfect type for  the new Shining Star Lantern.

The fun part then was to create and conceptualise our own designs in order to make our Star Lantern exclusive and unique to us.  We use rich colours to create and enhance the atmosphere where ever our products are hung and lit.

Our Star and Sun Lanterns have been, and continue to be a great source of creativity for us, and we hope for you too.
